Roberto Carmona brings broad expertise to his work as President and CEO of the Crimson Leadership Group (CLG). CLG was launched to provide strategic communication, executive search and leadership development services for corporate, small business, governmental and nonprofit clients.
CLG serves as a strategic communications consultant for a global leader in integrated food service and facilities management. His firm provides management association services for the National Forum for Latino Healthcare Executives (NFLHE). NFLHE membership is associated with the American Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Other clients include the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, The Safety Net Works (TSWN) of Illinois, Illinois Health Connect, the Latino Policy Forum, GSG-Consultants, and Arizona State University’s Center for Community Development and Civil Rights.
Previously, Roberto was the lead Environmental Justice consultant for the Federal Aviation Administration’s oversight of the City of Chicago’s O’Hare Modernization Program. He was also Director of Programs for the New America Alliance (NAA) in Washington DC, where he oversaw the development of NAA’s Corporate Board Initiative and a “white paper” entitled “The Status of American Latinos in Financial Services”. Roberto directed programs in civil rights, workforce and community development for the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Washington DC. While At HUD, Roberto was a federal reviewer for the Round II $1.7 Billion Empowerment Zone Competition and helped establish HUD’s Office of Rural Housing and Economic Development. At USDOL, Roberto was appointed National Monitor Advocate where he helped to enforce compliance of states and localities receiving employment services funds to ensure migrant and seasonal farm workers received equitable services. In earlier years, he served a Regional Director for the National Council of La Raza (NCLR).
Roberto is a graduate of the Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration. He also has a Masters degree in political science from Northeastern Illinois University, and a BA from Northern Illinois University.
